Indigo Bananas Friday

Happy Friday everyone! I have a new set of polishes from Indigo Bananas for you today. All but one of these are from her most recent Summer Rains Collection. I have had a love/hate relationship with flake finish polishes for a while now, they just don't interest me as much as other finishes. And then Indigo Bananas goes and creates these amazing flake polishes and I have to do a 180 with my stance. They are just gorgeous with their jeweled colors. Formula wise, they will require a few coats for full opacity but they apply very easily and only need one layer of topcoat for that nice shine.

Indigo Bananas Countdown to Extinction
Three coats
Grass green jelly with linear holo and red/gold/green flakes
The flakes against the crisp base is so lovely. As with the other polishes, I was not able to capture a direct sunlight holo photo but the holo effect is prominent, most especially in Countdown to Extinction.

Indigo Bananas Molten Universe
Three coats
Red leaning coral jelly base with red/green flakes and slightly silver shimmer.
Hot hot HOT! The brightness of the color is shouts summer to me.

Indigo Bananas Rainbow in the Dark
Three coats
Black jelly base with linear holo and red/green and gold/blue flakes
The base leans a little blue and you could layer over black but I love how it looks by itself. This has the most color variety out of all the polishes and it striking against the black.

Indigo Bananas Reign
Three coats
Garnet jelly base with red/green/orange flakes and gold shimmer
Oh jeez, this is perfection. The flakes stand out so vividly in that wine color.

Indigo Bananas Storm Drops
Three coats
Pale blue creme with white/silver flakes and aqua shimmer.
It is more delicate compared to the other bolder colors and like a wave of cool air, just so refreshing.

Indigo Bananas Electric Unicorns
Three coats
Periwinkle jelly base with green/blue glass fleck shimmer.
This is not a part of the Summer Rains collection but was released a while ago and has been on my wishlist since. The contrast of shimmer in the colored base is just beautiful.

Indigo Bananas Coconut Banana Cuticle Balm
This my second balm from Indigo Bananas and again, I was impressed by the quality and scent of this. It has a nice tropical scent, with hints of chocolate that absorbs quickly. Maybe tropical scent is not for you? You can't go wrong with lemon or maybe no scent at all. These balms can be purchased here.

Indigo Bananas products can be purchased in her shop here, as well as through Edgy Polish and Mei Mei's Signatures. Updates regarding the brand can be found on her Facebook page and Instagram
